Carl Sandburg Village HOA

The Carl Sandburg Village Home Owners Association (“HOA”) is responsible for maintaining the Village’s common areas including landscaping, snow removal, security and Village signage. The HOA also maintains the Village’s two swimming pools, four tennis courts, tot lot, two hospitality rooms and the commercial space located in the 1300 and 1400 blocks of Clark Street.
The HOA is made up of seven associations comprised of 2,610 units:

  1. Cummings and Dickinson House (567 Units)
  2. Alcott and Bryant House (567 Units)
  3. Town Houses (60 Units)
  4. Eliot House (324 Units)
  5. Faulkner House (224 Units)
  6. Lowell House (252 Units)
  7. James and Kilmer House (616 Units)

HOA expenses are paid for by the seven associations, which are passed on to the individual unit owners in each Association.
Each Association appoints two representatives to serve on the HOA Board of Directors, which sets policy and oversees the finances and operation of the Association. The HOA Board contracts with a professional management firm to provide management services. The HOA Board meetings, which are open to all unit owners, are typically held on a monthly basis.
